Lesson Learned - (the hard way)
It's o.k to rename a custom field name....Its NOT o.k to rename the custom field's values i.e. pick list options. Daptiv does not recognise that you have renamed an option therefore you lose all data that was previously selected.
(This brings me to another point what is the correct terminology? - custom values, data, options or something entirely different?)
We are currently running a daptiv pilot and during this time I need to put together a customised admin manual. I am adding this to our list of do's and don't but thought it would be good to find the Daptiv training section where it explains this better than i can. I haven't been able to find one paragraph on this.
It makes sense now, however being for-warned no matter how obvious it seems is better than spending days updating projects one by one because you've lost valuable data.
Has anyone else done this and can anyone else find training on this subject?
