Using Cross Reference Fields in Dynamic Apps

I am struggling trying to create the cross reference fields using John Filicetti's Requirements/Use Case dynamic apps.

    1.  I set up the Requirements Tracker dynamic app.
I created a "Requirement" field as Standard Text, Required.

    2.  I set up the Use Case / Test Case Tracker dynamic app.
I created a "Requirement" field as a Cross Reference to the field on Requirements Tracker.

    3.  I created three Requirements records.

    4.  I opened the "add" screen for the UC/TC.
Beside the "Requirement" field was the message, "Cross reference field must be configured, as the field has not been mapped to a specific application."

What did I do wrong?  How do I link up the cross reference field?  I tried searching Help to no avail for instructions in using these type of fields.

    Thanks for your response.

In the project where the DAs exist select Admin and Cross Reference fields and set them there.  Let me know if that didn't get you pointed in the right direction.

Still no luck.  Is there a document or training scenario that would walk through cross reference setups step-by-step?

    John,

    You followed the right steps.

    1) In the Requirements DA, you created a text Requirement Title field

    2) In the Use Case/Test Case DA, you create a cross-reference field and related it to the Requirements DA, Requirement Title field.

    3) You added both DAs to a project

    4) In the project, click on the Admin application and Project Dynamic Application to relate the fields from the DAs.

Once complete, your cross-reference should work.
