Entering Hours for Unassigned Tasks

I noticed that if you enter a time for a task that is not assigned to a resource via the timesheet (resource is a member of a project, but not a task), then it is recorded in the timesheet "Hours Worked" field, but does not exist in the Task "Actual Worked" field.

1. Is there a way to record these hours in the "Project Information" data model?

2. Is there a way to separate these hours in the "Timesheets" data model?

Once you submit the timesheet (and it is approved, if required) then the hours will show up in the Task Actual Work field. This functionality may change in the near future but for now if timesheets are enabled, they have to be submitted/approved before showing up in Actuals.

Updating the task via the Task itself will push the data to Timesheets real time.
