Reporting With the Issues Application -- No link to project name?

When using Report Builder (not ARB),I have not found a way to associate the issues application with a project without crossing folders at  the highest level of the presentation model, which I know we are not supposed to do.  When I do cross folders to use the field Project information\Projects\Project Name it appears to work but once again, I am "crossing folders".  What is the best practices method for doing this in RB?  Or does one not exist and this needs to be done in ARB?

    Thanks,

    AEG

    Andrew:

It sounds like you already understand perfectly the basic requirement of not crossing the "top level" folders in the data model.  But once you dive into one of those top level folders, you may combine elements from the various subdirectories.

Thus, you may select Issues application data and throw it onto a report with the associated Project Names by staying within the top level "Project Information" folder.  The "Project Information" folder contains an "Applications" subdirectory, which contains an "Issues" folder.

This is a best practice, and should yield reliable results.

Thanks Max.  My error was in using the top-level Applications folder instead of the one below Project Information.
