I want to separate the hours completed by our external resources from the rest of our normal resources in the capacity planner. Having our external resource hours added to the others exaggerates the number of hours we have available. How can I achieve this?
I have two options in mind:
1) Recreate the capacity planner using Advanced Reports and using "Filter" to filter out the external resources. However, I am having difficulty generating the number of available hours (as shown in the capacity planner). I've tried various fields, such as "Availability" which gave me all zeros, and calculations such as "(Net Capacity Hours) - Allocation Hours." Is there another field I can use to generate these numbers?
2) Create new and separate resource types for the external users and uncheck the checkboxes so they won't be displayed in the capacity planner. This is Plan B but I prefer to implement Plan A.
