    Can one link to daptiv data elements from a report?

     I'd like to create html reports using the ARB or RB, then have hyperlinks from the reports to the edit page for the underlying detailed information in Daptiv. Use for this would be first in an issue tracking application, where I'd send out an email with key information from each user's active issues.  Clicking the email links would take the user straight to the daptiv page for making changes.

     Possible to create such links?

    Hi David, It actually is possible to do this and I will create a post in the "tips and tricks" section detailing how to do this.  I plan to have this posted in the next week or so.

    Thanks for the post!

    Is the information on how to do this posted anywhere yet?

    Dave reports that there is a technical issue with Cognos that hinders this currently, but that it is being addressed and he'll report back once the functionality is available.

    Can we get an update?  I know you can sometimes get the object ID of something and could potentially formulate a link, but that's not quite good enough.

    If I create a dashboard report for a project, task or DA item, I'd like to have a link to it.  I'm trying to display the information to the user to inform and drive action and I can't do that without being able to link to the item I'm displaying.

    Yes you can Chris. I am in Canada right now, but will send an example report with the hotlinks tomorrow.

    Chris,

    Here is an example report.  Download the file to your desktop.  Open the file and copy all (Ctrl-A to select all and Ctrl-C to copy), open your ARB, click on Tools, and click on Open Report From Clipboard.  Once the report comes up, click on File and Report Package to select your report package.  You will now be able to modify/use the report.  To change any HTML block, be sure you click on Unlock to unlock the report fields.

    I used your example report to build a hyperlinked Project report and it worked great..

    I've been trying to create a similar report for 'Project Requests'. I have the report running except I'm stuck on how to dynamically insert a unique Project Request ID into the string (oid bold'd in the example below);

    http://xxxx.daptiv.com/ResourcePlanning/ProjectRequests/browser.aspx?oid=xxxxxxxx-018b-441d-bf73-5191221875de|xxxxx194-1371-41a3-a278-cdbea91e0c1e&&pageviewid=ResourcePlanning/ProjectRequests/Details.ascx&nav=1&tab=ItemDetailsTab&dgid=Grid

    Is this doable?
