I have four project roles set up for my project type

* Bus Dev, gatekeeper, project manager and guest

 When I generate a project from a project request, I add the members and assign them their roles. I have the notification checkbox swithched on.

All the email notifications that are sent out to the members display, regardless of their project role.

"The following Project has been generated from a Project request and you have been assigned as the Project Manager"

Why is this?

I have this issue too.  I gave some feedback to Daptiv Product Management about this.  Either the notification language should say "A project has been created and you have been added as a member" or the generate project steps should say "Select Project Manager" not "Select Project Member" as it does today.

 The notification confuses users.

This is correct and is actually the defect.  An earlier release stated that you should "Select the Project Manager" however you can add as many people as you want, and make them whichever role you choose so we changed it to say "Select Project Members" but did not update the email notification to use the same language.
