We definitely see the need for the functionality you've described. We have addressed similar issues with enterprise User Management, and the ability to bulk-edit enterprise users (examples like changing department, supervisor, etc. for a large group of users to a single value) to help enterprise administrators save time. This functionality will be released in our fall release. We hope to resolve similar scenarios with tasks and other items shortly after that, possibly winter.
If you would like to help us address these scenarios more quickly, I would find it very helpful to better understand your experience with the product and how you envision the "solution" for bulk-editing tasks and possibly other item types would work. Would you want to just change values of a specific field (e.g. Billable) for multiple tasks to a single value for all selected tasks? Or would you want something more flexible to address a wider-range of scenarios, like being able to export data from eProject (tasks, projects, whatever) into a spreadsheet, edit the spreadsheet, and quickly re-import those changes? For us, making the right decisions in *how* we improve your user experience is very important, and your opinions will make a difference.
