Project Selection Committee Decision Communication

Can anyone share the process the user for communicating to project requestors and/or sponsors the decision of project selection committees? We're looking for a proven way to let people know the status of their project request once the decision has been rendered - do you offer an appeal process? Alternatives or recommendations? Policies on decisions of the committee being final? Etc??

I recommend scoring projects and project requests. You can expose some of the scoring fields along with a field for comments now on your PR and Project views. Users with the rights can send the project back for approval.
