    SCRUM

Does anyone have any SCRUM dynamic applications, templates, or PP6 coaching

    Re: SCRUM

I've been working on Scrum/Agile solutions and have some in development at this point. So far, I have the following in development:

    User Role: Name/Description/Persona
    Release: Number/Description/Start+EndDate
    Iteration: Number/Description/Start+EndDate
    Iteration Stats: Planned vs Actual/Changes
    Product Backlog: Various...

with cross-references between them in some places (i.e., Backlog references User Role...)

I also have an Iteration View which allows you to see from eProject the basic status and progress of your story points, as well as a BurnDown chart (in Crystal Reports).

I started playing with some ideas.  Here is one (I know that Agile PMs don't let their friends use MS Project).

    Re: SCRUM

I'm trying to figure this out too. I've only spent a few hours on it today and here's what I did:

    * Create a 'Backlog' Dynamic App

          - Fields: Item#, Description, Priority, Estimated Work

    * Create a 'Sprintlog' Dynamic App

          - Fields: Item#, Description, Priority, Start Date, Estimated Work, End Date

Conceptually what I want to do is create Backlog entries that can be transferred to a sprint log. Since you can't actually 'move' an entry the closest thing I can think of is to cross-reference the description. Basically the only thing it buys you is less typing when you go to create a sprintlog entry. It'd be really nice to be able to cross-reference multiple items (like Estimated Work, and Item#)

Some data points I'd like to eventually be able to extract are:

       * Actual Work(AW) - Estimated Work(EW) (I can hopefully calculate this by AW = CalcDays(End - Start) - EW... just not sure if the calcuation part will let me doing something as complicated as calculating days between dates)

       * Estimation Accuracy.  While working on a particular sprint log task, I'd like to be able to enter the 'current estimated work left' on a day to day basis. Eventually it burns down to 0 and the task is complete. The 'estimation accuracy' would look at initial estimated work and by examining the 'current estimated work' left items over the lifetime of the item produce an accuracy of estimation figure.

       * Burndown. I'd like to hear some strategies for extracting burndown data and generate a graph report. (Ideally I'd like to be able to click on 'Burndown' from the main project page and get taken straight to a graph... wouldn't that be nice.. :)

I look forward to playing with this more tomorrow, but in the meantime I have a few questions:

    1) Is there any way to cross-reference multiple fields between dynamic apps?

    2) It seems that PPM6 doesn't let a cross-reference field show up as the first column in a view. That's really irritating when I specifically want that behavior. Is there any way to re-order the columns the way I want them?

    3) What other dynamic apps can you think of that would be useful in a Scrum development environment?

Have you posted these DAs or templates for the user community? I would love anything that gives me a quickstart to track Agile projects in here.
