Can a custom field be added to the Issue Update Page?

I want to add an escalation checkbox for reporting purposes.  The most likely time the owner of the issue will want to select it for escalation is when they are adding Update Notes via the Update Issue action.  Unfortunately, the way its set up it would be a two step process; first you have to update the issue with update notes and the then you have to edit the issue to check the escalation checkbox.

Can I add the escalation checkbox custom field so it appears on the Update Issue page?

    Sean,

    Yes.

To add a custom check box field to the Issues Application, do the following:

    1. Go to the Admin Zone
    2. Go to Applications
    3. Click on Issues
    4. Under Actions, click on New Custom Field
    5. Follow the Wizard and choose the check box option when prompted

    Respond here if this helps.

I have done this, but it does not answer my question. To update this new field you need to select the action “Edit Issue”. I want to be able to select the action “Update Issue” and edit this new field on that page, but you can only update the % completion and update notes from the “Update Issue” page.
