    Counting just child projects

I'm trying to pull together a list (and count by time period and phase) of bottom-level projects.  I see within the ARB schema that there's a PaarentProject element but I don't see a ChildProject element.  What I'm looking for is a cout of all projects where there is no child projects.

Any options or clever ways to do this with just the ParentProject item?

     Many thanks!

    Re: Counting just child projects

    Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone out there has a way to identify whether a project has a child project.  As I mentioned above, I need to be able to count the lowest level projects and ParentProject doesn't provide that info.

    Thanks!

I would say that you have to create 2 queries, "Parent" and "Child", first with "Project Name" field, second with "Project Name" and "Parent Project Name" field. Join them with "Project Name" and "Parent Project Name" as key and from result set you'll see which projects have no child projects.
