Generating a project & adding external resources

Generating a project from an approved request

When selecting project members from the directory all external resources are presented in the list including 'inactive external resources'. Is there a way to exclude inactive external resources from the list or better yet is there some way to delete Inactive external resources altogether?

    Thanks

The user selector should never show inactive Users or External Resources (ERs).  Please log this with support.

This is a painful workaround but I'm sure it will work if you have seats open, test one just to be sure:

    • Activate your External Resources
    •  Convert some or all of them to Users, opt not to send notification
    • Deactivate those Users
One way to manage ER's is create a Dept. called "External Resource" and apply them to that department so you can quickly filter.

I tried that and they still appeared in the directory list even though they were inactive users. I've submitted a support case.

For the short term what I did is prefixed the inactive resource last name(s) with "Z-xxx" example "Z-xxx - Smith" so they sort to the end of the lists. This should, I hope, help defer some confusion by making the inactive resources less visible when assigning resources.

A kludgy workaround but it helps...
