    Printing the Update History Notes

    Good morning,

I was wondering if there is a way to print the "Update History" notes in the task area? While printing, it only prints the first entries. If possible I want to avoid copying over to a word document.

    Thanks!

How are users updating their tasks, Timesheets or Task Update or both?  And you are more concerned about the Notes field specifically or just time entered?

Timesheet export will help some people in this instance depending on desired data.  The only other option is via WI reports.  There are no current 'in-browser' features within the UI that allow custom printing options at that detail level.

Re: Printing the Update History Notes

I am interested in the same question,  I am using eprojectPPM6 and would like to print the Task update notes not the timesheet update notes.  I do have access to Crystal Reports and can create a report, however I can't even find the field that represents the task update or the fields that represent the task history information (not the history log).  Do you know what the field name is?

I wanted to use the field to send a detailed status of each of the tasks within a project.  If I cannot create a view or a report that shows the task and the update notes, then I will not use the field.

     Thanks

    ARE/Crystal:

Task Update table (TaskUpdate), "Notes" field

I am not 100% sure if this returns the last entry or all update entries for a given task - I would guess all updates.  This information can be found in the Admin Zone of PPM, lower right hand side where you grabbed the .xsd file is also a pdf included in the zip with tables listed at the end of the doc.

Re: Printing the Update History Notes

We've been trying to get some form of task update information in order to help us reconcile timesheets during the approval process.  The Task Update History page shows you when the person updated the task (Update Date) but not the Worked On Date.

I loaded the XSD into a Crystal Report and just dumped the TaskUpdate table to see what's there.  It appears you have to figure out how to exclude updates that weren't made via the Update Task page because there are TaskUpdate rows with notes like:  "Updated via Gantt Chart" or "Update via bulk change" or "Work entry deteled by ...".

    Good luck.
