Sharing Values in Dynamic Applications across Multiple Projects?

I've created a dynamic app for our project contacts, and the values entered in this will preferably be shared by project managers across their projects.  Is there a setting that allows all projects to see the same information, rather than the project data values to be separated by project?

Each DA is it's own instance with data relevant to that project so it is not currently possible to set that DA up as a Source application with items.  Basically the PMs would have to export the data from the original Contacts and then import into their own project's Contacts DA.

While for many purposes it is good that the DA is it's own instance by project, there are some uses where sharing across projects would be valued.  For example, contacts, where contact info would need to be updated dozens of times, once for each instance, each time it changes. A suggested new feature: Allow an option where sharing across projects is permitted. A more complex, but more powerful option, would be allowing sharing across projects on a record by record basis (that is, some records would be project specific, some shared across multiple projects).
