Here is the scenario:

 I am a PM and Joe is the Resource Manager for Mainframe Developers. At the beginning of the project I estimate that I need 50 hours of a Mainframe Developer. Joe allocates Jane for 50 hours to my project. Half way through the project - I estimate that I need 25 hours more of Jane. How do I request for these extra 25 hours through the "Resource Allocation" module of Daptiv? The application does not allow me to do this.

Sure it does.

1.  In the Project Resources menu select Resource Allocation.
   
2. Select the Actions button and Edit Requirement for the Resource type you need more of (Mainframe Dev).  You don't know if Jane is available, so you need to request someone that is a Maiframe Developer.  Add in your extra 25 hours to what's already there.
3. Save and then Request Resources.  In the text field ask for Jane.
4. If Jane is available, the resource manager can give you the extra 25 hours.  If not then someone else may be assigned.

There must be an issue with our setup - because, after I add the extra 25 hours and save ; the option to "Request Resources" is still greyed out. So, I cannot make the request.
